It was May 2004 when I first heard the term 'street photography', although for years I had enjoyed other photographers' works that could fall into this genre.
Street photography differs from other forms of photography in the way that it relies more on capturing special moments in people’s daily lives, usually in urban surroundings, rather than planning a subject in advance.
The idea is to capture a situation that will never happen exactly the same way again and perhaps wasn’t noticed by anyone when it happened. Technique, light, and composition might help make a photo more gripping, but the most important thing is to freeze a moment that for some reason or another is stimulating to the viewer.

This is a collection of street photos taken between 1988 and 2007.
I hope that you will find these photos thought-provoking and that they will make you smile and reflect over the small wonders in your daily life that usually go unnoticed.
Hopefully this will also encourage you to go out and photograph situations which could be seen as short stories which are continuously happening around you, wherever you are.

Thanks for stopping by!
